Matchy Party ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to transparency about how your information is handled when using our web-based messaging app during in-person social events. By using our service, you acknowledge and agree to the practices described below.

Matchy Party is designed for temporary, anonymous communication. However, users may optionally provide personal or identifying information (e.g., a name, username, or personal message) within the app.

We may collect:

• A temporary session ID
• A randomly assigned number shown on your label
• Messages sent or received through the app
• Optional personal information provided by the user in message content or user profile fields
• Technical data such as IP address, browser, and device info (used for performance and analytics)

2. Use of Information

Your data is used to:

• Operate and maintain the functionality of the app
• Facilitate communication between attendees
• Monitor usage patterns and detect abuse
• Improve the platform

Personal information is optional, stored in plain text, and not encrypted in our internal databases. While not publicly indexed or searchable, this information may be visible to other users attending the same event.

Matchy Party does not guarantee data privacy or security. While we take reasonable measures to protect our systems, no method of storage or transmission is fully secure, and data breaches—including malicious attacks—cannot be ruled out.

By using Matchy Party, you acknowledge that:

• Optional personal information may be exposed in the event of a data breach.
• We are not responsible for any malicious use, unauthorized access, or unintended disclosure of such information by other users or third parties.

4. Data Retention

All session data and messages are stored temporarily and are typically deleted within 24 hours after the event. We do not build persistent user profiles.

5. Third-Party Access

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties, unless required by law. We do not use third-party trackers for advertising.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

• Request deletion of your data during the event
• Review what optional personal information you’ve entered
